Wow! This young woman is a daredevil. I'm getting nervous just thinking of what would happen if the balloon moved a few feet closer to the rooftops. These are wonderful captures, dearest Manfred, of some very thrilling moments.
This is such a beautiful flower. At first, I thought it was a stalk of silk flowers since its shape was so perfect. It must be breathtaking to come upon scattered patches of this along the highway. Beautiful capture, indeed.
During bright days and with sunshine these flowers keep a low profile. During dark days or in the dawn the blossoms open and form brightly visible colour spots in the road edge :-)
No, no, dear Sweet Caroline! I must contradict you. The photo is not suitable for a Biker's Calendar. Bikers need only athletic legs. Ecki is right: a heavy upper part of the body is an obstructive and an unnecessary ballast for riding a bike! :o)))
Uniquely fascinating and beautiful! You truly have a knack for taking so many of the every-day objects--which surround us--and turn them into works of art.
I think this young lady is about to wipe out a few kiosk with her stunt. Last week, a balloonist landed safely on one of our heaviest traveled streets during rush-hour traffic. That has to be an overwhelming experience to know you have absolutely no control over where you will eventually land. On several occasions, I thought I was going to have guest on my back deck. My home is close to the field where they normally take off and land the balloons. I always enjoy seeing the many different colors of balloons taking to the air most weekends here in Ottawa. Luv ya!
Beautiful lake and ferryboat. I'd love to be spending this long weekend holiday (Labor Day Weekend) on this delightful ferry just enjoying whatever is around the next bend in the river. Often the best times are experienced when there are no set plans; and you just go wherever destiny leads you. Hello my dearest Manfred--I've missed not being able to take one or two of your fascinating excursions the past several weeks. But now that Labor Day Weekend is here, I look forward to seeing what interesting and intriguing adventures you will take me on for the next few days. The weather has been miserable the past two weeks--with our temperatures staying around 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Hopefully with the arrival of Hurricane Earl off the Nova Scotia coastline later this evening, it will bring some much needed cooler air. Anything that could help get rid of the horrible pollution and humidity would be a welcomed change. We Canucks are tired of feeling lethargic. Luv ya! Sweet Caroline
