Almeria

Almería ist eine Hafenstadt an der andalusischen Mittelmeerküste. Das Stadtbild ist nordafrikanisch geprägt: enge Gassen, alte weiße Häuser, Gärten und Palmenalleen. Der Name der Stadt leitet sich vom arabischen al-Mariyya ‚Spiegel des Meeres‘ ab.
Die Stadt war bereits 15-mal Startort einer Etappe der spanischen Radrenn-Rundfahrt "Vuelta a España".

Almería is a port on the Andalusian Mediterranean coast. The townscape is formed north-African kind: narrow lanes, old white houses, gardens and palm avenues. The city name is derived from the Arabian al-Mariyya ‚mirror of the sea‘.
The town was already 15 times start place of a stage of the Spanish cycle racing "Vuelta a España".
